Christmas in Brixton

What do a bunch of Kiwis eat, when in Brixton on Christmas day?

Not being huge fans of turkey, and feeling the pull of summer and family from the other side of the world, the meal had to be pretty special. So, we voted, and the winner was...Beef Wellington.

M picked up the beef from a butcher in Smithfield market, and searched the web for a fail proof preparation method. We settled on Gordon Ramsey's.
We started with garlic prawns, and antipasto, and the main included roast chicken, balsamic and caramalised red onion roasties and green beans. Pudding was a mouth-watering raspberry tiramisu and chocolate pudding bomb a la Jamie Oliver.

The night wasn't complete without a couple of glasses of port and a group rendition of Living on a Prayer. Extremely satisfying.
